A More 'Connected' Marketing Strategy
Website design, SEO and LinkedIn management for one of South Devon's most established IT support companies.
1-Zero-1 Computer Solutions is a Torquay-based IT support company with over 15 years of experience keeping businesses across Torbay, Teignbridge and Exeter secure, connected and operational. They’ve got the credentials, the client base and the track record, but their marketing wasn’t quite doing it justice.
When they came to CSJ Marketing, the brief covered three things: a new website, ongoing SEO, and a LinkedIn presence built to reach the business owners and decision-makers they work with every day.
This project spans website design, SEO and social media management – all shaped around one goal: making 1-Zero-1 the obvious choice for IT support in South Devon.
The Project
A solid business that deserved a website and online presence to match.
1-Zero-1 had built a strong reputation over 15 years, but their online presence wasn’t reflecting it. Here’s where things stood when we started:
- Outdated website with overlapping pages and no clear journey from awareness to enquiry
- No Google Search Console or Analytics in place, so performance data was unreliable
- A LinkedIn presence with real potential – but no strategy behind it
The Solution
Website Design
The new website was built on WordPress with a focus on three things: personality, clarity and conversion.
The old site leant heavily on technical information without helping visitors understand why 1-Zero-1 was the right choice – or what to do next. The rebuild addressed this by creating a clear journey from education to social proof to decision, with copy and structure designed around how a potential client actually thinks when they’re looking for IT support.
On-site photography was done as part of the project, capturing the 1-Zero-1 team in their own environment. In an industry that can feel cold and faceless, showing the real people behind the business makes a genuine difference – and it’s something the new site carries throughout.
The result is a site that reflects who 1-Zero-1 are: experienced, local, straight-talking.
SEO
With the new site live, proper tracking was set up from the ground up – Google Search Console and Analytics configured correctly so performance data was reliable and actionable.
The SEO strategy focuses on local search across 1-Zero-1’s three core service areas: Torbay, Teignbridge and Exeter. Dedicated service pages target both broader terms and more specific searches, building visibility across the full range of what 1-Zero-1 offers.
The site has landed on page one for local search terms within the first few weeks of going live, with performance continuing to improve as the strategy develops.
Linkedin Social Media Strategy
The LinkedIn strategy was built around the audience 1-Zero-1 actually wants to reach: business owners and managers who are responsible for IT decisions and often don’t realise what poor IT is costing them.
Content is built on three pillars: education, authority and personality. That means thought leadership posts that position 1-Zero-1 as genuine experts, storytelling that shows the human side of the business, and honest, useful content that earns trust before anyone picks up the phone.
The business page is managed with 2–3 posts per week, and I work alongside the founder on his personal content too. Monthly reporting keeps the strategy sharp and ensures growth stays on track.
The Results
The LinkedIn numbers from the first 90 days speak for themselves:
- Impressions up 743%
- Reactions up 2,700%
- New followers up 175%
- Page views up 32%
The website launched three weeks ago and is already ranking on page one for target search terms across South Devon – with organic performance continuing to build.
