Chocolate Heaven Made In Devon

Bringing Handmade Devon Chocolate into the Digital Spotlight

Cockington made chocolate brought to life through social media strategy and an improved e-commerce presence.

Chocolate Heaven Made In Devon are a local, artisan chocolate shop owned by couple John and Pam. They took over the company in 2020 as a later-in-life project that has since grown from strength to strength. They approached me after realising an issue with local visibility and inexperience with social media. They knew how to make great chocolate, but wanted to share their passion with more people.

Through an improved social media presence and an overhaul of their existing e-commerce site, they are on a strong path to being a local favourite.

Chocolate Heaven Made In Devon - The Project

A Holistic Marketing Strategy With Strong Results

The first problem John and Pam had was with improving their visibility and engagement on social media. Their profiles were full of static imagery of their newest chocolates that struggled to tell the story of the brand they have worked so hard to create.

Secondly, they had a website that wasn’t working as well as it could, it was slow, and didn’t include key pages that showed off their brand and optimised user experience.

The brief was to create a holistic brand image through social media and website design.

Social Media and Content Creation

A sweet looking Instagram feed!

For Chocolate Heaven, I led the creation and management of a refreshed social media strategy designed to highlight the brand’s artisan chocolates and strong Devon heritage. I began by planning a varied content mix that balanced product showcases, seasonal promotions, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of the chocolate-making process. This approach aimed to keep followers engaged while attracting new customers through a blend of storytelling, product education, and local pride.

I took charge of creating and scheduling all content across Facebook and Instagram, ensuring every post reflected a warm, friendly tone and a consistent visual style that matched the brand’s identity. I collaborated with them on gift ideas, seasonal ranges, and collaborations with other local businesses, helping to build a stronger connection with the community. By managing the process end-to-end – from planning and creation to publishing – I ensured Chocolate Heaven’s social media presence felt inviting, on-brand, and commercially effective.

Website Revamp

A tempting new look

I led a refresh of Chocolate Heaven’s existing website, giving it a modern, inviting look that better reflected the brand’s artisan quality and Devon heritage. The goal was to refine it into something more visually appealing, user-friendly, and aligned with the brand’s evolving identity.

The updated design introduced warmer, more welcoming visuals, improved navigation, and clearer product presentation to make browsing and purchasing simpler. Seasonal promotions and local collaborations were given more prominence, turning the site into both a shop and a space to share the brand’s story.

Our social media feels more professional and engaging, and we’ve already seen more interest from both locals and visitors. We’re really pleased with the direction things are going.
