Kate Renton is an established counsellor based in Torquay, specialising in a range of therapy practices for individuals going through difficulties. She came to me feeling her website wasn’t performing as it should – it wasn’t showing up in the right places, and those landing on the site weren’t converting at the rate she hoped.
The Project
Refreshed copy focused on SEO and conversion.

What I Did
We started with a discovery call, where we discussed Kate’s frustrations, the nuances of her industry and her typical client acquisition strategy. We looked at what she was doing right and the steps she could take to improve.
The main frustration was her website – whilst the design looked great, the structure wasn’t quite built for conversion. Testimonials buried below the contact form, the services she offered scattered around the site, and the copy not quite speaking to the real pain points of her audience.
Before starting any design work, we made sure the copy was perfect. A blend of her tone of voice, SEO-focused language and speaking directly to the client. Then, we created new pages for each service, an ‘About’ page that discusses what makes her unique, and a home page built for discovery and conversion.
From there we’ve worked on off-page SEO – building out her Google Business Profile and building a strong backlink profile.
The Results
Although the site has just been relaunched, it’s already seen a spike in traffic. Kate now has a site she’s proud of and a platform to continue to build her base of clients. We’re continuing to work together on ongoing SEO, a paid ad strategy and a marketing plan to make her the best known in her industry.
